My Artistic Journey

Six years ago today, my daughter was born. After a long and difficult night, when I felt like I had no strength left, a deep inner force carried me through. That same energy, that determination, is something I’m experiencing once again – just in a different form.

My creative journey began in spring 2024, during a challenging period of my life. I needed to rebuild myself from within. I had just moved into my new home and wanted to make it truly mine – warm, personal, and full of life. That’s when I picked up the brush again, after many years.

Art has always been a significant part of my life. In upper elementary school, I had a unique art teacher who ran an after-school workshop at a local college studio. We explored ceramics, painting, and drawing. That’s when the idea of becoming an architect was born in me. From that moment, drawing became my path: still lifes, geometric forms, learning proportions by hand.

I remember, as a teenager, I dreamed of attending an art camp, but it was too expensive for us at the time. Instead, I bought myself an oil paint set and started creating small paintings at home. Even back then, I was fascinated by the idea of painting something large and meaningful. However, preparing for university made me set aside these dreams for a while, but the desire never truly left me.

During high school, I attended a private drawing class every weekend, where we practiced live compositions and prepared for the entrance exams. Later, I continued with the preparatory courses at BME, successfully got accepted, and graduated as an architect. Throughout my university years, I did design internships in Germany and Switzerland, eventually transitioning into project management in Budapest.

As I immersed myself in the world of project management, I gradually felt a disconnect from my creative self. Surrounded by structures, deadlines, and spreadsheets, I still carried a quiet longing for colors and forms. My love for art never disappeared – it just got buried deep inside, waiting to resurface.

Painting allowed me to reconnect with my forgotten creativity. My first brushstrokes were hesitant, but as I continued, I found myself again on the canvas. Colors – especially pinks and blues – took on a new meaning: they symbolized freedom, self-expression, and inner balance.

Now, after months of dedicated work, my second 'child' is born. My new collection, painted with heart and soul, and my very own website where I can finally show the world who I truly am.

This journey feels like a new beginning. I’m not just creating paintings – I’m building my own space where my creativity can breathe freely. My website is not just a store or portfolio; it’s a piece of me.

My career in engineering provided the financial foundation that now allows me to create and learn from other artists. In today’s digital age, the opportunities are limitless – for learning, showcasing, and promoting one’s art. I believe that artists today have completely different paths available through social media compared to ten years ago. And I’m ready to embrace these opportunities.

I’m proud to present my first collection to you, which is a reflection of my inner journey. If you’d like to see how these colors, emotions, and stories come together, click here and dive into the details.

This is my story. And perhaps, if you are also searching for your path, these paintings will help you find your own colors too.
